in 1964 I was a freshman and became frienda with a kid from nj whose roommate was a kid from ohio named gary Pontius.gary was a good friend of larry czonka.for what it's worth.we all were told that czonka told frank howard that if he gave a scholarship to his friend,gary,then he,czonka,would come and play for CU also.well,gary got his scholarship and larry went on to Syracuse.this info and $10 will get you a cup of coffee.

Actually it was the 850 rule, 800 was for SEC schools. My friend always wanted to be a Clemson man, but ended up as a Tennessee man because he only made 840 on the SAT.

Yep, they scored @ Western Michigan 52-42, @ home, 62-10 against NC contender Wagner, @ home, 30-7 against a very broken FSU, @ home, 51-21 against another very broken UCON team that is giving up more points than their women's basketball team does against their opponents!!! We better be really careful bc the Orange men are hot right now scoring against broken teams. I wonder if anyone has told Dino that Clemson isn't one of those broken teams even with a true freshman starting QB. I expect to see our our entire 3 team from the end of the 3d quarter through the 4th quarter, seriously!!! They won't be able to stack the box us this year, they will have to play every square foot of our 50 X 100 yard field in Clemson's Death Valley!!!

How much playing time should Dabo let Chase Brice have in this game, I say the very second they believe the game is out of reach, Chase should go in and stay in, and all the first string D should play until mid 4th quarter to hold Cuse at bay so that Chase can have and get plenty of playing time...There is no guaranties that a starter will start and finish a season absolutely injury free or just banged up enough to need a break in action. I fully believe that TL is more than capable of winning every game on our schedule from now through the ACC championship game. It is Chase that our coaches should be more concerned about having ready just in case they have to call on him to lead our team if he is ever needed!!!
