I saw that Belichick is making $10 million a year at UNC.

He must have felt confident he wasn’t getting another NFL job, because that’s a huge pay cut for him. It is estimated that he was making $20-$25 million per year as the Patriots’ head coach.
It will be interesting to see how he does at UNC. I think he will recruit well based on his reputation, but I can’t see him relating well to players. He will make them better but I don’t see him making them elite.

There is no way that I would want him as the HC at Clemson bc it appears that Tom Brady was more than helpful with Belichick having a successful career!!!

Well he definitely had nothing to work with with after Brady left. That could be said about any coach.
Where are Buffalo (McDermott) and Kansas City (Reid) with out Allen and Mahomes. Got to have the dudes if you want to win.

No kidding. Having the GOAT at QB certainly helped. Ask Dabo about having Deshaun and Trevor. Carolina is a great school with a huge national following, thanks MJ, and Belichick will turn things around.

not taking an opportunity to meet him, and that is the first foot in the door. Kids may also feel that he has inside path to the nfl. I am sure he will play on that in a recruiting pitch. He is getting old for sure but he may still have a good three year energetic run in him to make something happen at unc.

I heard an interview with their new football GM, Michael Lombardi. He had a pretty persuasive sales pitch. Basically UNC will have NFL level nutrition, strength and training, coaching, development, etc. NFL lite.

Salaries for head coaches have become absurd. He doesn’t have any college FB coaching experience. His reputation might be the only thing to lure kids to Chapel Hill. That and NIL.

Read somewhere that after June he could leave with only a 1 million dollar buyout so it's obvious he's keeping the NFL door open.

His system will work in college, with a game manager at QB. Brady didn't run but if protected,there was none better at killing teams with check downs and hot routes. If UNC lands a QB that Bill likes, buckle up.

UNC has had some really good QBs and offenses, but their defense has been really bad.
Not sure how quickly they’ll improve, but he’ll probably coach them up from a system standpoint.
But overall…well just have to see…he and Brady were a terrific combo, but that doesn’t always translate elsewhere
