DABO will be Clemson's version of Frank Beamer ... He's @ CU

for the long haul.
He may fool me, but I just don't see him being pulled away to another program of his own volition.
Danny Ford would have been the same way if cooler heads had prevailed.
We may have to pay a lot to hang on to him if keeps winning big at Clemson and gets a call from somewhere like Alabama, but I just don't see him ever wanting to leave unless things turn sour between him and the administration.
... or the fans.
And let's face it, he's setting the bar pretty high right now.
A lot of the fans that love him today are the same ones who thought he was a joke 5 years ago.
5 years from now, if he isn't winning at the current pace, those same fans will jump off his bandwagon.
Fortunately, it looks like the current administration is genuinely "ALL IN!" and Dabo and staff riding the crest of a wave that doesn't look like it will break any time soon.
My gut feeling is that Dabo will retire from Clemson as our all time winning-est coach by a significant margin.
Meanwhile ... GO TIGERS! BEAT THE SOONERS!!!!!

Beamer was great, but the past five years or so have not been so great in Hokie land. I hope Dabo is here for a long time, but I hope when the time comes, he leaves on a high note rather than limping out.

He may be the kind that is satisfied with a good thing and ride it for the long haul, or he may get itchy for a new challenge whatever that may be.

Dabo has a strong personal testimony. He gave his testimony to Paul Finebaum on PF's radio show today. I caught it on the SEC Network. My son told me Dabo was going to be a guest so I taped the show.
Dabo spent just under twenty minutes answering three or four questions for PF. During his responses to the questions he spoke of his desire to return to Bama as a coach at any position. He concluded by saying that he'd learned that God's direction for his life was more perfect than his dreams. His dreams included Bama but God perfect will directed him to Clemson.
I have no idea if you understand those concepts but I do and many more here do also. It was clear to me that Dabo understood and so did Paul Finebaum. The look on PF's face was one of deep conviction. IMO, God spoke to PF through Dabo. Paul wouldn't ask the question which he had previously sought to have answered. Dabo answered it before he asked. No, he isn't interested in being anywhere but Clemson.

about it. What I know is that he has developed this program on the foundation laid by Bowden. I know he has a sincere reverence for Clemson and if he did leave he would not leave Clemson in a bad place.
There will be recruits and talent along with a coordinator to step in and continue the program in the same heading Dabo has set.
Whay is undeniable is that this program not only is better now because of him, but will continue to be after he leaves, whenever that may be.

I could only see Dabo leaving for Bama, and I couldn't really blame him. But until Saban retires, and they offer Dabo the HC job, I don't see Dabo going anywhere.

He could build a dynasty at Clemson.
Can anyone else envision top 10 finishes EVERY year? or something similar.

Dabo is at the right school in the right conference where he can stay as long as he likes....Like Bob Stoops for example.
With his success and celebrity he will get offers and not just from Colleges. His style of coaching as a delegating person may get him NFL offers.
Make no doubt about it, he is an Alabama boy. That comes up frequently. It the circumstances are correct he could go there.
Alabama would be about the only job I could not blame him if he took. It would suck in a big way but that is the nature of things.
Now I thing Dabo have build a program from scratch and Clemson is "His Baby" and he should get a nice bump in Salary from him and his coaches.
I don't see him leaving any time soon

I see Dabo just staying here. Clemson and Alabama are like night and day. I only has to compare to Danny Ford. If he wins the NC this year or next year. He is the king. Much easier to do what he wants and hope to win the ACC. 10 - 13 wins keep his job!
For going to Alabama, He has to live up to being in the playoffs each yr top4 and all the so called elite coaches that been there. It would be hard to mode the program the way he wants. High pressure of 12 and 13 wins in the sec. You are the puppet to the big donors.
