Nothing gets you fired up to whoop up on Notre Dame like Santa Claus is coming to town blaring through the speakers.

Which two head coaching jobs did Venebles turn down?

I'm guessing Kansas State is one...
But struggling to come up with the other - Kansas, Colorado, Louisville, and Maryland are all possibilities. Maybe Georgia Tech or East Carolina?
If I had to pick the second I'd probably go with Colorado or Maryland.
Curious to know if anybody plane tracked enough to know where he might have interviewed.

There is nothing east of the Mississippi River as ugly as Lubbock.

Any chance we see Justin mascoll

Or Darnell during the during the playoffs? Just to keep our starting d lineman and Huggins/Pinckney fresh for the whole game. Most would say no I’m sure but don’t think that ND/OK/Bama will have a couple players they will throw out there that our coaches haven’t seen all season. Similar to Tua last year in the NC

Highly doubtful on defense, but never say never.
Mascoll would play before Darnell would.

I doubt either plays meaningful snaps without an injury or two in front of them. The only scenario I could see is if Mascoll were to get a little time on special teams to keep legs fresh for some guys who play a lot.
If we have some garbage time snaps I could see Jeffries getting the first nod because he will likely be relied on as a backup DT next year. Any live reps would help that.
I don't expect either of them to play though.
