How do you distinguish? It seems 7spots goes in search of Thrillers but finds horror movies and gets frustrated.

belongs in R&B. If you aren't going to make fun of my total lack of ##### given about editing and careless typing, be funny at something. If you can't be funny, add something to the conversation, Don.

a non-horror thrilller is something like "Psycho" or "Jaws"

maybe James Bond, I guess.
is "thriller" different than "suspense" or "action"? Maybe not?
It's kind of like catagorizing music into "country" or "western".....

"thriller" and "suspense". "Suspense" has a more calm, steady connotation, while "thriller" connotes more of a twist-and-turn kind of plot.
Action is different from both. Action is about loud noises, special effects, and stunts, not about plot.

Thrillers are a little more real-world based.

It was good enough I guess, but any show that actually ends instead of being cancelled outright is good enough for me these days

meant to illicit fear in the audience. They also tend to be formulaic and often good vs evil (often literally).
Thriller is a broader category, evidenced by the tendency to have an adjective in front like (political or psychological) that categorizes it more narrowly, that tends to illicit excitement but can also focus on fear. Often thrillers ask more from an attention standpoint to get the full payoff than does horror.
