I get kinda down in Jan when players leave to begin their post college life. It always looks like we have no shot to compete with anyone in the coming season.
In July and August get to know the new team through reports from yall on Tnet. It aint quite July and already my January depression is gone.
I am excited as to this team. It might not be "preseason" the best ever, but it surely looks like top 10%.
I understand my optimism is troll bait, so giving the haters a target.
Too hot do to much outside, and no college athletic events for two months. I usually have to adjust my meds during the dog days of summer. January has basketball and bowl games. If I can make it to the NFL Hall of Fame preseason game I know the end is near and I can survive until kickoff.
As soon as the last out in Omaha is recorded I start counting down to football kickoff. I need to pick up a Phil Steele book and start getting fired up about the season.
