I'm 28 years old and haven't played basketball a whole lot since high school but I bet I can step on to a court right now and shoot better from the free throw line than our whole team!
I'm 5'9", 41 y/o, never played organized ball, and was able to hit 9 out of 10 from the free throw line the other night after my daughter's bball practice. I know I didn't have to play a game and didn't have any "pressure," but I just have a hard time with poor (my definition of poor is <75%) free throw shooting by athletes that play or practice basketball every day. I love when Rod Hall pulls up from 18 and drills a jump shot, almost as much as a thunder jam by Book or a circus put-back by KJ. Also, I Love seeing the fire in Coach Brownell's eyes the past few games.
