We are playing Georgia State! Best of luck to your son this season. A trip to Univ of Florida at end of season will be nice!

Georgia State is GASTATE.
Georgia State is one of those schools that has an arrogant fanbase for absolutely NO reason. Some of their fans probably think we would consider a home and home with them.

maybe that's changed now that we have a new AD... I understand we are gonna play these crappy games to have 7 home games, but I thought the mentality always was to keep that money within the state.

When I saw GSU I though Georgia Southern also, which would have been cool considering they're moving to FBS status this year or next. Is this a Steely Dan move on our new AD's part, considering his many days recently in Atlanta? What's going on here.

Just FYI. Yes, Georgia State is in one of the "small guy" conferences, but they have come a long way in the few years of football (startup till now DivI-A).
Georgia State is the second largest of the colleges and universities in the University System of Georgia. 24,101 enrolled.
And of course, the TIGERS will win!

I too am in Ga.....and I've seen how long of a way they came and how fast they jumped on the football scene under Bill Curry. Kennesaw State and Ga. Southern will be headed upwards as well.
Just would like to see in Clemson better and stronger matchups even though there are a lot of D-I schools that are scared to play us......so there won't be any gripe about having a weak schedule. It's already noise pollution when people and media mention that we play in the ACC. As far as D-I schools go Clemson is a very high brand of football no matter if we are in the ACC. Give us our respect when we and if we play these big boys on the field.

After playing several D1 high profile and physical football games, our players will need a game like this to allow their entire body to recover. Just like a marathon runner body won't allow them to run their races back to back. There's a recovery period after each race. If our player going to play at their fullest protential, there has to be a break or less physical game for their muscles and body to recover. Similar to a manathon runner body. Playing team like Bama, Ga, Lsu, Fla, back to back would be suicide to a player body. This would be like a boxer fighting four major 12 round title holder four weeks in a row, returning to the gym the next week with all out practices for the next bout without a break in between bouts and expecting to be at his best. This can't be done in football as well as. These players go all out in practice before every game each week. There bodies needs and have to have a break at some point to get what you called their legs back. Those starters was sore after that LSU bowl game. Just ask Boyd. Can't imagine Boyd having a week long physical practice following that game and having to play Bama the next week without any rest while the coaches expecting his very best. His mind might say yes, but in reality his body would be crying no. I remember those days after a physical Saturday game. Barely able to get up or move on Sunday morning.
