And only two teams out of the five lost to a team ranked in the top 25 (top 10 teams)–Clemson to UGA and UGA to Bama.
Clemson should not be behind Ole Miss or UT.

TN has two road wins over ranked teams and the loss they took was to a team that was about 2 plays from being undefeated and beating 3 ranked teams so far.
We haven’t beaten anyone of consequence and got our doors blown off by a ranked team we had the whole offseason to prepare for.
That’s why we’re behind TN.
Ole Miss? You have a solid argument there, IMO

yet you're giving credit to Tenn for beating 2 ranked teams. You do know that one of those 2 ranked teams that they beat was the same NC State team we smoked arguably worse than they did?

They also did not have their starting QB and were playing in Death Valley. They played them in Charlotte with their starters.

I love how we're doing and feel positive about how we'll finish but every team we've beat is having a bad year.

This team has a LOT of issues though and I wouldn't bet head-to-head against the teams you mentioned.
Granted, the other SEC teams may be just as flawed, but I don't have much confidence in this group (especially the D). Potential is great, but we need to really develop over the next few games -specifically depth.

Does it really matter how they are ranked? We are in improvement mode at this point. When Woods gets back to his best self we will be where we need to be. Offense is starting to gel, all good. We have 4 or 5 "practice" games to get ready for Miami if we win out.

Thank you. You are the first person to mention SMU. They just beat both of the teams in last year’s championship game and are rolling. Miami looks very beatable. But so do we at times.
