Don't Get Fooled Auburn is Not a Giant

They are decent but they are not anything special. Even with a QB they are top 15 at best. If you watch their losses to Bama and Oklahoma you will see it. Fear naught....Go Tigers

With SEC refs. Which is usually not such a bad thing. Compared to ACC refs anyway.

I imagine the coaches this one a lot differently.

Our offenses may be similar to start but the big difference in defenses is what will break us away. 24-10

They bring back both RBs

Pettway, the bruiser, and Kerryon Johnson, burst of speed. Their 3 most talented WRs last year were true freshman. They bring back 7 starters on the defense that held us to our lowest score of the year.

Meh....Still Clemson's D is Superior. Offenses About Equal

Playing at DV will also be HUGE. You will also note DW4 did not play fantastic in that game. Auburn is decent, but habitually overrated. Their coaching is not up to ours either.

No montravious Adams and no Carl Lawson- they are not replacing with equal talent there. And for these talented freshman wr's, that's what you say when you really don't know what you have at wr

They also lost their 2 best players in the secondary. But, they have talented kids waiting, so I expect the D will be good despite that. Their O should be much better, with an actual QB. We will have our hands full, especially with SEC refs to deal with. The play of our QB may be the deciding factor in this game. He doesn't have to be Watson, but he has to pose a throwing threat and we can't turn the ball over.

Guys who have watched them this spring call them improved.
Stidham makes a huge difference at QB because he can take the top off a defense so Clemson won't be able to just load up in the box and mob the line of scrimmage.
Their D should be a little worse with Adams and Lawson gone but their front 4 are still salty. They had some decent cover guys last year, should still be a bit iffy at LB.
Problem with a Malzahn team has always been tempo. If they get the ball moving on you, they can really put you on roller skates because he does chain together plays so well. He just needs a foothold in the game - which he never got last year; their D purely held them in that game.

That was kind of said last year....
Almost everybody on here were saying how we going to blow the doors off of Auburn....
Well that wasn't the case.....

IMO we were still a little hungover from that first Natty in 16.
The team went into Jerden-Hurr expecting to win and ran into a young hungry Auburn team.
Well this year they have to come to Death Valley against our hungry young offense eager to put their own stamp on Clemson history. And our defense needs no introduction.
We'll be ready

If it was easy, everyone would do it. They will be ready to fight after having a pretty good season. Our dogs better be ready for a cage match.

So had theirs. This isn't a Big 12 defense Stidham is throwing against. Francois was a big boy, Stidham will break in half under Wilkins and Lawrence.
