Which was why he went to the Nickel look to match SCAR'S spread look. Sammy is a 10.7/ 100m guy. There ain't no DB on the team that's faster than him not named Corian Gipson (but he's redshirting and coming off a serious knee injury). We certainly aren't getting any faster with the insertion of S. Lewis who hadn't played in over a month, particularly when everybody in the stadium knew the QB run was coming regardless of what personnel grouping SCar had on the field. Sellers was running right into the teeth of their 3 WR look to the wide side. It sure would've helped to have had an extra LB over there to blow up their blocking scheme. Just a mind numbing decision.

Somebody should, it has been obvious that Goodwin didn't learn any on field coaching from his office as an analyst, but Dabo knew that before hiring him as a DC.
Question, if Wes Goodwin was let go, or if he resigned at season end, would he be hired at another FB 1st power 5 school as a DC?

The speed that he wants is for running down those QBs getting more yards than the RB. But if the speed guys aren't taught tackling 101, catching them wouldn't help any unless someone throws a bucket of golf balls on the field ahead of them!!!

That is totally mind bottling to me......but I ant on the payroll. When they pulled SB and the coots started running amok , I just shook my head in shock and frustration.

and the issue all game was containing the QB or trying to keep him from running free...which his escapability was his best attribute. Clemson had him numerous times only to see him come out a situation and juke and jive defenders who could not bring him down. It was traumatic honestly..
But the worst part was even with his escaping and running, Clemson was in lead entire game until 1 minute left. Defense held them to 10 points....sure they had some yards and scrambles but giving up 10 points up until the last minute, you gotta win that game.
Clemson scoring 14 on that defense is the problem.
If defense holds every team they play to 17 points, Clemson should win 11/12 games every year. The offense has talent, some real skill. But for some reason when a top team is on the other side, like a real team with some physical nature, Clemson simply tucks tail and stops being aggressive. Saturday, that cost Clemson. The inside kick was perfect chance to put up a score and crush the Coots spirits, however the 3 and out did the opposite.... Something needs to change on offense. If you go aggressive and with tempo, turnovers can happen but it makes the defense make plays instead of stopping very bland plays that are not schematically difficult.
