Back from game. Georgia is good but not sure how good

Sep 4, 2022, 10:50 AM

No doubt, that offense is really good. Defense not bad. Just not sure Oregon is that good or not. It was always going to be a tough task to beat Georgia in Atlanta in the opener with a new coach.

Too many Dawg fans talking too much smack afterwards. Let the season play out. But, certainly a great start and the Dawgs are solid. But, could be a mirage.

Time is the great detective.

Now, looking forward to Monday with my Clemson buddies!

PS - Atlanta is a cesspool

UGa Fans need to talk smack. It's your time. We know what it's like going 40 years without winning a natty. That's the spoils of winning.

UGA is the real deal, but when Oregon has to rely on Bo Nix to be the starter that says a lot. It was a solid win.

Already curled this morning with dumbbells!

Sep 4, 2022, 11:02 AM

45 pounds at 15 reps with each gun - 500 total with each for a total of 1,000.

So far, 600 crunches. Got to do 2,000 total.

Gotta fight Father Time EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!

Yes, yout can battle with Father Time, and look at times as doing OK, but he ends up winning every single time, he is a bad man in time!!!

Nice work. I try to fight the Reaper too. My goal is to go 15 rounds and go down with a quick KO. However, I’ve accepted that despite all the advances in medical science, the death rate remains a solid 100%. ?

Nice win for GA. Y’all legit.

That game looked like a “no contest” before the first snap, then they snapped the ball and it was obvious it was “no contest”. Oregon at #7 was wishful thinking by the college football marketing machine.

I’ve not like Atlanta since the 70’s.

U right Dawg on several things..

Sep 4, 2022, 11:11 AM

ATL is a cesspool like Cola SC, Pups r very good, Clemson probably good too and time will tell.

Did you say once you had child at or attended Clemson?

I wonder what UGA looks like when a team

Sep 4, 2022, 7:44 PM [ in reply to Re: Back from game. Georgia is good but not sure how good ]

fields an offensive and defensive line though?

Andy Nix, is retched. He has no business running their style of offense…

The dogs looked good on O, but this contest was no measure whatsoever of how good.

Any team that is going to make a Natty run must have

Sep 4, 2022, 11:14 AM

three things:
1 - a QB that is in firm command of a productive offense that effectively moves the ball and scores points.

2 - an extremely good (if not exceptionally good) defense.

3 - maintain a healthy roster throughout the season (avoid the "injury bug") and have a little "in game" luck when needed.

Congrats Bulldog - based on week 1's performance it appears UGA has #'s 1 and 2 and is set to make another run if this was not a week 1 mirage and can stay healthy.

I believe that Clemson has #2 above but #1 is a big question mark that will hopefully be answered in the affirmative Monday night.

ALWAYS talk too much smack. It must be inbred from birth.

But, siriusly, your boys did look really good yesterday. It

Sep 4, 2022, 11:27 AM

is hard for me to ever take Oregon siriusly, what with the glow in the dark uniforms and all.

They still can't hold a candle to Maryland in the uglee uniform, or especially uglee helmet category, though. All that helmet crap looks like Picasso painting with crayons and a Five Alarm Hangover.

Dawgs are legit

Sep 4, 2022, 12:13 PM

Only Bama and OSU have the depth and talent UGA has.

Florida looks like a tougher out than I expected, not sure about the balance of the East. Kentucky may wind up being a quality team.

I would put you guys at #1 and everyone else a distance second after Game One.

Not sure why west coast teams would try to play a powerhouse team from the south. Whoever thought that was a good idea should be fired.

Hopefully we will show some competence on offense this year. If so, could be fun chasing you guys this year.

I moved from Atlanta last year. Been wanting to for a long time - best thing that has happened to me in awhile.

Georgia just put the rest of the SEC on notice. You’ll destroy the gamecocks, Kentucky, Missouri, Vandy. Florida may be a tougher out than I would’ve thought, and so may Tennessee. However I don’t think the east will be much of a problem. Alabama will be looking for revenge, that’s really all the season boils down to for Georgia. Maybe we’ll meet Georgia in the playoffs, however I don’t think Clemson is a lock

Keeping expectations in check is always a good idea

Sep 4, 2022, 12:44 PM

I had to relearn that the hard way last year. I think all tiger fans are cautiously optimistic this year. Georgia passed the eye test with flying colors

You guys are the real deal. Impressive win. Oregon likely over rated based possibly on unrealistic expectations from having Bo Nix at QB. I believe they've overhyped that guy from day 1. Your TEs are a nightmare for any opposing DC Alabama included. Having Bennett back is huge. Unlike Bo I was blown away to hear they encouraged him to leave and didn't even give the guy reps. He's proven everybody wrong in much the way Hunter R did here. Keep him upright and yall will be sitting pretty at years end. You will destroy the coots. It's not even worthy of discussion. Maybe we will see ya in the playoffs. Clemson should run the table in my estimation and really only challenged by a Notre Dame team that can ill afford a second loss. We will know more Monday evening but I suspect the old Clemson will return and the bees will be so unfortunate as to be our first obstacle.

Right now it’s Georgia and Bama… no other team that has played so far can hang with either at this point.. we will see as the year progresses if that changes

Re: Back from game. Georgia is good but not sure how good

UGA is sitting pretty right now. Oregon was badly overrated but you can’t fake execution or athleticism and UGA displayed both in abundance.

They should breeze through their light schedule, though UF and Tenn may be tougher than previously expected. Realistically they won’t be tested until they play Bama in the SEC Champ.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Georgia looked the part, no doubt. Playmakers abound.***
