Busted plays/questionable play call

Jan 12, 2016, 10:16 AM

Obviously the busted plays on defense did us in but I question the call to send our less than 100% shutdown corner on a blitz that wound up getting him hurt....

Proud of our coaches and team but the bottom line is in game play calling by Saban and the lack there of on our part played a roll....

If a player says he can play, you play him and call plays

like normal. If you've got to adjust gameplan due to his limitations, you shouldn't play him. I see nothing wrong with the call on that tackle. He injured his other hamstring, not the one that was already hurt.

The one that I think really hurt was the 2nd and two, up 14-7, and DW threw the same interception that he did in the Louisville game. Getting the first down as for going for a big play-hurt.

he has the option to run, throw it away or make the right

throw.

it was a really bad decision by a great, great player without whom clemson would have not been in 2nd & 2 up 14-7 in the national championship game.

i loved the call, but hated the result. the right guy had the ball in his hands.

That was a good play call, just a bad read and throw from Watson. His only mistake of the game. Ray Ray was open and had a step, the ball just had no air under it at all.

Agree. He looked at that one too long and let the underneath

guy get over there. Needed to look him off or give it some air to get it to the receiver. That is what DW can improve on next year is moving the safety and then coming back to the side of the throw.
