In 1970, I was a member of the Clemson Football team. Coach Howard had retired and new Coach Hootie Ingram came in. Hootie was a great athlete at Alabama and could step right in and do all the drills he asked us to do, even at his age, he could still go. However, as it turns out he was the worst football coach in Clemson history and sent the program on a slide that did not end until Charlie Pell arrived on the scene 7 years later. Just because your ego says you can still do mat drills with the youngsters does not make you a football coach. I hope Bull will become the fire that we need on defense and become a great coach. That is my dream for him. Not that he can lift 200 lbs over his head at age 40.
