Great new to hear!
This defense is better than what we saw this year. The talent is there, let’s shore up some positions and get back to the basics of tacking the ball carrier instead of bouncing off them without wrapping up and we could have a great season next year.

With the purdue transfer, I think this starting line is going to be really nasty. Plus Wade and Sammy will be LBs goin to have a great front 7 might need to grab a LB in portal or one of our back ups step up big time. Go Tigers!!

OK, it's official. This D line is going to be disgusting, or at least has the potential to. All the major pieces back, and some nice ones to add from the portal and recruiting.

Linebackers and DBs being out of position and taking bad angles. Poor fundamentals all-around. That is on coaching. Well improve but not a ton if Goodwin is still the coordinator

Since BV left, our LB's have left A LOT to be desired on the field and in recruiting. Even Sammy Brown is a remnant of what BV left on this team because BV was his recruiter before leaving.

Thats good news, but he needs to drop weight this offseason. He was 20-30 lbs overweight this season and could barely move and got gassed after one play. I know he got hurt, but he had way too much bad weight.

Congrats for being brave and saying this.
Well in advance of the beginning of the season, the coaches said that Woods was going to play DE, and that the expectation was for him to trim down to 295 lb.
Start of season against UGA and he’s at 315.
We had plenty of both depth and quality at DT this past season without needing Woods to play DT. He would have been far more valuable as a 295 lb DE with greater stamina plus another half step additional speed.
All that is in the past.
For 2025, I’m confident that Woods will be at the playing weight that the coaches are targeting him to have. To play DT.

I believe that other schools made a play for a couple of our returning starters and that Clemson stood up and said enough. Clemson needs to send a message that there will be no more poaching of our players and committed recruits.
