That schedule screams 5-7. In your opinion, If he goes 5-7 is he gone or does he get another 5-7 season in 2025?

Not ragging them, but I don't know where they get 5 wins. They lose Rattler, and without him this year they don't beat Kentucky or Jax State.
Next year they have 3 cupcakes and Vandy. They will be a decided underdog in every other game, likely 10+ points. And I am one that usually adds a game to the win column for them because they always pull an upset. I don't see it next year.
But I don't think next year is make or break for him. 3 - 4 years is not a fair chance to turn that program into even middle tier in the SEC, and that was before they added OU and UT. He should get 6 years minimum unless something horribly wrong happens and they actually regress.

I agree, I think 5 wins would be tough. Also they did as well as they did this year because they were decent at home. Next year all their home games are brutal and the only “winnable” sec games UK and Vandy are on the road. I think 4-8 barring some major portal moves

2022 was an anomaly which gave them false hopes for 2023. The Gamecocks really should have dropped 2-3 last year that they didn't. 2024 should be .500 at best in year four of Beamer Ball. He was "the guy we wanted", just like the Muschamp hire, right?

USC is they type of school that should benefit strongly from NIL.
They have a large fan base and are willing to spend money.
They paid to get Rattler and shouldn't have any trouble paying to get a replacement level QB.
The issue is always the OL and DL because there just aren't any available to purchase.
I don't think they will be much different than this year next year.
