Actually, I think this is a good thing. I think it will minimize the significance of the win. They had 1/2 their team suspended. Anyone would look good against them, so hard to tell how good FSU is.

Yes, CSU was going to be a real test for FSU before this.***

naive college students...

from what Ive been told, the bookstore at Charleston Southern is privately owned and contracts with the university to do business on campus--so, of course, bookstore employees were encouraging the players to spend every scholarship penny in their store. And I seriously doubt if Chas So bookstore employees are well-versed on NCAA rules.

IMO--the Chas So Compliance Director was heavy handed in a situation that didn't require it...she could simply have made the players return the supplies not covered by scholarship rules OR have them pay for it themselves. The kids were obviously misled by on-campus folks they trusted.

Then, if I were the Chas So BOT, the bookstore contract renewal would be thoroughly scrutinized at the next meeting

Charleston Southern should just disband their program if they are going to react and suspend players for something like this which the players were told they could do. They are a legitimate FCS program who took North Dakota State to the wire. It's like they are trying not to be good
