Any of you dropped Directv for loss of Viacom channels yet?

Does the loss of these channels void any contract you may have signed? Have they reduced your bill yet? What are they doing to try and appease the masses?

But unless I get the "new customer" deal where you get a reduced rate, HD channels, and NFL Sunday ticket, I'm thinking of dropping them. I was already thinking of dropping them, but this viacom thing may be the last straw.

year because I threatened to drop them. At first it was just a discount. But I pressed them and got it free.

i dropped directv in April and went with Dish...end of June they dropped AMC, which is a big deal to me with Walking Dead and Mad Men...they wouldn't let me out of my contract but gave me a ROKU to watch streaming shows thru my tv and $10 off month for a year

but you still can't get AMC on Roku, even w/ Hulu+

which is about 10 movie channels. They show old movies, a few worthwhile.

I watched a James Bond flick so far. I don't watch any of the Viacom channels.

But when my bill comes and there's no reduction ---- THAT'S when I'll call to beyotch and threaten.
