Here and there was a win against a quality team, but no consistency. Winning the series against NCSU was high point of season. And the record was mainly built on the backs of the lower end of the league and the SoCon types that CU should beat every time. Same problem in Clemson that you have in Columbia this year. Both fan bases are convinced that their teams are a lot better than they really are.

wonder how many of these "blame the coach - fire Jack & Brad folks actually played either game at high school or above? The pros blow games also. They seem to forget that the other team isn't laying down just so Clemson can win. It is not always coaching..the players have to make plays!
That's sports folks -get a life! It isn't as easy as playing video games.

may buy into your argument and give Jack some leeway but it has become way too common. No, Jack didn't make a pitch or swing a bat but he gets paid handsomely to recruit the kids that he has on this team which makes him ultimately responsible. If he can't get players to Clemson that can function against the higher quality teams then hire someone that can.

Jack also wasn't at the plate when Boulware made that unthinkable move in taking a swipe at the ball that took away the stolen base and sent the runner back to 1st base, and getting the best hitter we have called out for interference. That one bone headed move is what I believe cost us the game. Kids do the damn-est things when we expect them to play like a seasoned professional.

to the better programs that I have seen. Again, every once in a while is one thing but this has been going own since our leftfielder threw a d@mn live ball up into the stands during the CWS.

The fact is Jack has been involved and way to many games like this. He has to learn what it takes to WIN these games.This is on him and the players again.
