Should the Palmetto Series point system be weighted by sport?

This Palmetto series that tracks the yearly record of all college sports between Clemson and South Carolina just had a str8 up system of one point per win.
I am asking if for example, Football would be worth 5 points for a win, Men's Basketball 3, Men's Baseball 3, So that the major sports are worth more, and then all others worth one point.
Doesn't seem fair that an insignificant sport is worth the same amount of points as Football in the overall yearly total... When clearly the win is worth more to the fans.

Insignificant sport? That is a very very poor attitude!
There is not an insignificant sport.
Your attitude makes me wonder if you have ever participated in any athletic endeavor in your life or any other worth while pursuit as far as that goes.

Yes I think in this particular competition womens rowing should count as much as football or baseball or basketball.
I actually think we have put so much emphasis on the big 3 sports that we miss out on some great athletic endeavors. I promise you the people who run track or row boats or play golf or volleyball put just as much into their sport as the football team does their's.
If you dont think they are as much an athlete then try doing some of those things and your mind might change.

Men's BB - 4 points
Baseball - 3 points
Women's BB - 2 points
Others - 1 point

much better in women's sports. If you look at almost all of the top college women's sports programs they are located at top flight academic colleges. Most female athletes are outstanding students and tend to go to the better schools, not sure why Clemson hasn't been able to take advantage of this fact.

$CU won the match-ups in womens volleyball and womens basketball while Clemson won in mens soccer, womens soccer and, of course, football.
