Predicting 50-50 that Coach Brownell leaves for Indiana..

after seeing he’s from the Hoosier state and played ball at DePauw.

It would be an awesome way to get back home and coach at such a renowned basketball school and where he’s well known, has family & friends and the salary may be lucrative too.

But, he really likes Clemson, has a great job with security & good salary while his family has grown up here..plus he’s just getting into a super groove in recruiting and team play with results.

Yep, 50-50..and it’s being said out of Indiana that he’s now 1st on their list.

PS: Don’t mention this to Judge Keller!! LOL~

What guesses you?

…round.

For Clemson’s sake, let’s hope the early trip home from the tournament does not diminish Indiana’s interest.

I think this is true as most schools won't offer until they know the answer is yes. If the question is will CBB take the job is IU decides he is their guy, I doubt the answer is 100%. Regardless, I hope he gets the opportunity if that is what he wants, and I hope he stays if he wants to be in Clemson.

I doubt the school that had Bobby Knight wants a non throwing chair guy, we’ll see and just trust Neff has a new one warming up.

If they gauge their fanbase level of excitement about CBB potential hiring they'd find out that is not the direction to go.. From what I have read on various IU message boards the only way Brownell gets that job is if like 17 guys have no first. Recent success does not overshadow 5 NCAA trips in 15 seasons. Indiana wants (expects) to go every year.

Agreed. Indiana probably wants a coach who can win more than one game in the conference tournament. I also doubt Indiana will wait 15 years for consecutive NCAAT appearances.

bingo, Indiana is not hiring Brad.In 15 years, not one school has tried to poach him away from Clemson. think about that for a second. He is not the elite x and o coach that the supporters would have you believe. He has become a great portal coach and for that reason i hope he stays.

It would be hard to find a new coach to take 15 years and go to the dance two years in a row and 4 times in past 14 years, finish 3/4 in ACC regular season and tournament.

Well that would matter only when he officially instituted his 15 year plan? He may have counted the first 10 years may have been for setting the table to start the 15 year plan. Or he may not have come up with a plan till year 12!

My guess is he needs at least the Sweet 16. He's got good talent and winnable games.

Same thing he would have at IU.. so, needs to win to get offered.

Doesn't his parents live in Indiana? Wasn't his dad a high school coach in Evansville? Why would he not take a job close to his aging parents and give his dad the chance to see him take over the legendary Indiana program? If offered he gone folks.

This may already be a done deal. These things don't just happen in a couple of days. We will be just fine. Look forward to a new door opening!
