Trevor Lawrence named PFF ACC Player of Year |
Clemson freshman QB Trevor Lawrence was named ACC Player of the Year by Pro Football Focus on Friday.
PFF has Lawrence as No. 1 among ACC QBs in 'big-time throws' percentage (5.83). Going into the ACC title game, the Cartersville, Georgia product had only thrown three balls in danger of a turnover and held a 126.7 passer rating on attempts of 10-plus yards. Lawrence led the conference in passer rating overall (154.02) with 24 touchdowns to four interceptions, averaging 8 yards per pass with a 65 completion percentage. Lawrence was one of four first-team all-conference offense selections by PFF, joined by Travis Etienne, Tee Higgins and Mitch Hyatt. Christian Wilkins and Dexter Lawrence made first-team on the defensive side.
