Andre McDaniel is a very versatile athlete for Godby high school. McDaniel could play on either side of the ball in college, but projects to play safety. The recruiting process is offer to a very fast start for McDaniel.
"I am up to around 14 offers now. Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Clemson, Kansas State, Iowa, and there is more I just don't have them all with me right now. I was surprised when schools from the midwest offered me this early. Everything is happening pretty fast. I want to take as many unofficial visits as I can to try and sort this thing out." McDaniel's teammate Roy Upchurch signed with Alabama in February. Will that have an effect on McDaniel? "I know Roy really liked Alabama, and he would like for me to come there. Alabama is a good school and they are coming after, but I have to make my own decision. Roy will respect that." Does McDaniel have a leader? "No, I am trying to stay open minded. I want to see who all is going to offer me first, then trying and look at my options. I do not want to make an early decision then regret it and have to go back on my word."
