We received word around 9:30 EST tonight from the Shrine Bowl hotel that Chris Hairston called Clemson and committed. The Winston-Salem native received an offer from Clemson about 24 hours ago and Clemson coach Marion Hobby got the commitment earlier tonight. Hairston has been impressive in Shrine Bowl practice when we scouted him on Monday and Tuesday. He becomes the 15th commitment for the Tigers but the first offensive line commitment. The Tiger staff may take one more offensive lineman. Hairston is being recruited as an offensive tackle.
