Five-star Charlotte (N.C.) linebacker Trenton Simpson picked up a Clemson offer while on campus for a final official visit. He announced a commitment just minutes later.

"Blessed And Honored To Say I Just Received An Offer From Clemson University!!!" Simpson posted on Twitter Saturday.

Simpson decommitted from Auburn in October and visited Clemson shortly after. He has also visited UNC twice.

Simpson was named the N.C. football player of the year. He is rated as high as the No. 2 outside linebacker in the nation.
