Clemson star running back Travis Etienne will have his high school jersey retired before Jennings' second-round playoff game on Friday.

"It's going to be a special night," Jennings head coach Russell Phelps said in an interview with NBC 7 Sports. "He has done so much for not only for Southwest Louisiana and Jennings but the whole state. He represents the community very well, the state, and it's going to be exciting for us to get to see him."

Etienne has been sensational during his junior season at Clemson with 153 rushes for 1,335 yards (8.7 YPC) and 14 touchdowns.

"He is having another great year. We just wanted to recognize what he has done for our program and really excited for him."

The ceremony is set for 6:40 p.m.
