3-star 2017 defensive back Amari Carter from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida has been offered by Clemson on Wednesday according to his Twitter account.
Carter is a very versatile prospect as he has played six positions (not at once) for Palm Beach Gardens high school last season including safety, wide receiver, linebacker, running back, punter and cornerback. The team won the District 9-8A championship as Carter had 60 tackles with three interceptions, two fumble recoveries, two blocked kicks and five touchdowns. TigerNet spoke with Carter briefly on Thursday morning, and he said the following about the new offer. "I love it," Carter said. "My coach informed me that coach Venables offered me. He's really cool and down to earth. We have already started making some connections." He has offers from Arkansas, Clemson, Duke, Florida Atlantic, Illinois, Kentucky, Miami, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, West Virginia and Wisconsin. His dream school is Florida State because several members of his family have attended the University. "FSU is my dream school, but this is business, though," Carter said. "I will go wherever I feel is the best fit for me, not just from the football aspect but also and, more importantly, the educational aspect."
