Clemson has offered 4-star 2016 offensive tackle Richard Merritt Richard Merritt TigerNet spoke with Merritt on Thursday morning and he was ecstatic about the Clemson offer. "I have been waiting for this offer for some time now and I think Clemson has a great coaching staff," said Merritt. He has offers from Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Auburn, Boston College, Clemson, Connecticut, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Rutgers, Temple, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and West Virginia. North Carolina was the first school to offer him. Merritt started as a left guard as a freshman at Friendship Collegiate HS. Since his transfer to Archbishop Carroll, he has played at right tackle.
