2017 DE/LB Logan Rudolph out of Rock Hill (SC) Northwestern has committed to Clemson on Friday night with a commitment video he posted on his Twitter account.

Rudolph is highly regarded as a consensus top five player in the state of South Carolina for the 2017 recruiting cycle.

Most schools are recruiting him as a defensive end and a few as a tight end, however, Clemson offered him as a linebacker.

As a tight end, Rudolph has caught 50 passes for 502 yards and three scores. Defensively, he's accounted for 60 total tackles, 14.5 sacks, an interception and four forced fumbles.

The 6-4, 230-pounder holds national offers from Alabama, App State, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Charlotte, Duke, East Carolina, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Florida State, Illinois, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, SMU, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UAB, USC, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

Rudolph is the younger brother of Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph and his former Northwestern head football coach Kyle Richardson is now a coach at Clemson.

He is the tenth commitment for Clemson for their 2017 recruiting class.
