Three-star 2020 Birmingham, Alabama offensive lineman Trent Howard announced a commitment to Clemson on Friday.
"I am truly blessed to announce that I have been offered an opportunity to attend Clemson University, a place I have dreamed about being for years," Edwards said. "I am honored & so excited to say I am committed to Clemson University & will be signing my LOI on Dec 18th." Howard was a Georgia Tech commitment since June but decommitted on Thursday. He visited Clemson during the spring. His offer list also included Boston College, Louisville, Miami, Maryland and Wake Forest. Howard’s dad, Johnny, was a member of the 1992 Alabama national championship team with Dabo Swinney. Clemson has six commitments on the offensive line for 2020 currently. Had a great visit to Clemson! What an unbelievable environment in Tiger Town! #ALLIN pic.twitter.com/ieXPHp60Hm I am truly blessed to announce that I have been offered an opportunity to attend Clemson University, a place I have dreamed about being for years.
