Saban says Watson most dominant since Cam Newton

by - Senior Writer -

Alabama head coach Nick Saban and his Crimson Tide are poised to make a run at another national title, but Saban says Clemson should be the favorite. Why? Because of quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Against Alabama in early January, Watson accounted for 478 of Clemson’s 550 yards (405 passing and 73 rushing).

ESPN's Brett McMurphy reminded Saban Tuesday that Alabama is a 5-1 favorite to repeat as national champs, but Saban had other ideas, and even said Watson was the most dominant college football player since Cam Newton.
