Latest Bowl projection for Clemson |
USA Today has released its
bowl projections after week 1 of the college football season and Clemson (1-0) is projected to play Alabama in the CFB semifinal game at the Peach Bowl on Dec. 31 in Atlanta, Georgia.
"Both Florida State and Clemson would have outstanding arguments if that is how the season plays out [1-loss team]," USA Today said. "They both will have strong résumés with two SEC victories. Unless the four champions separate themselves, the committee is going to have a hard time keeping out both the Seminoles and Tigers if one finishes unbeaten and the other with one loss from their Oct. 29 showdown." The other playoff semifinal projection had Florida State vs. Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl on Dec 31. However, the projection had Clemson losing to Alabama in back-to-back years with Alabama and Florida State in the national championship game.
