Vegas odds for Clemson winning CFB title, Heisman favorites

by - Assoc. Editor -

College Football is back and on the air with some semi-interesting matchups tonight.

Since the regular season is underway, Bovada released their final preseason update for their odds on the National Champion and Heisman Trophy winner.

Clemson had the second-best odds of any NCAA team (4/1) behind only defending title-holder Alabama (11/5). In case you were wondering, Clemson's in-state rival Gamecocks have 200/1 odds to win it all this season.

Senior quarterback Kelly Bryant has twentieth highest odds (50/1) to raise up the Heisman Award while freshman phenom and backup quarterback Trevor Lawrence was surprisingly listed at ninth highest odds (16/1) to bring home the hardware. It appears that Vegas insiders really like the chances that Lawrence might have a breakout freshman campaign.

Sophomore running back Travis Etienne was also listed at 80/1 odds which is probably a fairly decent value play but he will have to share the rock with talented playmakers Adam Choice, Tavien Feaster and Lyn-J Dixon.
