USA TODAY releases final 2018-19 Coaches Poll

by - Staff Writer -

Clemson continued quite the trend with the Coaches Poll with the 44-16 win over Alabama Monday night in Santa Clara, California.

Clemson improved on its No. 2 preseason ranking with the top spot thanks to the CFP Championship win, which ensured Dabo Swinney's Tigers would outperform their preseason ranking by the Coaches for an eighth-straight season.

It was the second time in three seasons that Clemson was ranked No. 2 preseason and came home with the national title, mirroring the 2016 season but also becoming the first FBS team to finish 15-0.

Syracuse rounds out the ACC reps in the final top 25 at No. 15.
