Swinney updates injuries on his defense

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney spoke with the media following Wednesday's practice and updated the injury status of several important players on his defense.

"(Marcus) Edmond will travel this week," Swinney said. "This is the most he's been able to go this week. It's the most confident he's been. It's good to see a smile on his face and see him breaking a sweat."

However, the outlook is not as good for defensive back Mark Fields.

"Mark Fields won't be with us, " Swinney said.

Swinney also shared that Tanner Muse will be able to get a smaller cast soon on his hand.

"He's done great," Swinney said. "He's going to get better every day. He's going to wear the same cast but they'll cut it down drastically next week."
