Petition growing to fix Clemson student tickets |
Clemson University student Alyx Farkas
started an online petition this week about her difficult experiences with getting a student ticket for football games this season.
The petition now has over 9,200 signatures as of Thursday morning and appears not to be losing much steam. Here is a snippet of the letter from the student that will be delivered to President Clements and others. As a student, I think it is sad that we cannot come to the games with you, Tiger. Why are you ignoring our friendship? What did we do to deserve this? I dyed my white overalls orange during my last day of summer break and I have decked out my wardrobe with everything orange because I wanted to look good when I hung out with you every Saturday in Death Valley. Please don't ruin our friendship, Tiger. I love you with all my heart, but I am so disappointed that you are trading our friendship for money. If I had a million dollars, I would buy a ticket to go with you. But I am here to get my education. And when I do, maybe I will spend the money I make to see you again at a football game. I can only hope that by then, Tiger, that your student support is still as strong as it was last year. And that students -your ambassadors- will ALWAYS have the opportunity to cheer on our team in Death Valley.
