Lamar on RB Lyn-J Dixon: "He is really something special"

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson's offense was extremely impressive during Saturday's scrimmage according to many observers including head coach Dabo Swinney.

Linebacker Tre Lamar spoke to the media following the scrimmage and spoke about the new rookie weapon in running back Lyn-J Dixon.

"Man Lyn-J can run," he said. "It is rare to see a freshman out there that can play that well so fast. He is really something special. I think he is going to be a great player."

Lamar sees some similarities between young running backs Travis Etienne and Dixon.

"A lot in terms of camp for sure," he said. "Nobody knew Travis coming in camp and Lyn-J in camp until they blasted off."

Dixon took his first touch in Death Valley today for a 50-yard touchdown according to Clemson co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott.
