Clemson to have 'All In' sculpture outside football complex |
Clemson's football facilities around Jervey Meadows will soon have a piece of art entitled 'All In' to decorate the grounds.
The football-esque item is dedicated to Clemson's "striving for excellence, individual personal growth and community service," per designer Gordon Huether. Huether provided a sneak peek at the artwork's progress currently: Fabrication for 'All In' continues here in the shop. Here's what it is made up of and will display, per Huether: "All In will be fabricated with aluminum and dichroic glass, gleaming, reflective and polished materials. The aerodynamic angle of the sculpture creates a sense of transformation and progress; the multi-colored pieces of dichroic glass represent the diversity and complexity of an interdependent community. Illuminated at night, the installation will activate the site and attract and engage viewers with its dazzling surfaces." The project was first targeted in 2017 with Huether selected as the artist in December that year.
