They have been doing that for him. I’d be willing to bet you if Trevor played complete games and started all year he would have surpassed Finley’s 3700 yards.

Finley had a bigger year, from a stats perspective. He passed for 3,789 yards in 12 games with 24 TDs. He's a 5th year Graduate with a big arm and most likely a high 1st round pick in the 2019 NFL draft.
That TL finished 2nd, having split time for the first 5 games, is incredibly impressive. We all know what we've got in TL and none of us would trade him for anyone.
But, give Finley credit where it's due. He had a good year and is an outstanding QB that should do well at the next level.

Ask all 14/15 ACC coaches who they want at QB if they could choose and then tell me Trevor is #2.

Scouts at Clemson vs NC State said that they went their to see what Finley would do against and elite defense and it turned into them scouting Trevor Lawrence instead, sounds like we have the better QB in reality.
