My first report from Clemson..................

I'm here in the Cooper library checking my emails. Its a miserable, foggy, drizzly day here. The Gameday crew has not begun setting up but I see their equipment. I've never seen so many people working around campus and town. They're washing the streets, blowing leaves on all of the walkways and streets on campus and the hills around the CU house.Lawn mowers going everywhere! You can feel that something is different in the air. Everywhere you go there are student organizations at tables hawking everything you can think of from food to t-shirts. The dispays seem to be more advanced than they usually are on the Thursday before Homecoming which I noticed immediately when I arrived last night. A lot more students participating than normal. Clemson will have color for Homecoming, but its difficult to tell today because of the fog. It should be gorgeous Saturday because they're saying it will clear up tonight and then be 68-70, Friday and Saturday. Earlier, I went to speak w/Levon Kirkland and then I went to see Jeff Davis. Jeff said "I think there's someone here you'd like to meet," and it was Terry Kinard. I spoke very briefly w/Coach Bowden as he was leaving an offensive coaches meeting, headed for a radio interview and then they appear to be having a big luncheon. Practice today is 4pm. I haven't missed many Homecomings since graduating CU and I can tell you that this feels different. We appear to be cleaning our house, decorating and putting on our Sunday best! There is something special going on in these hills! I'll be back. Go Tigers!!!!

ed and this has been the ABSOLUTELY longest week ever! I have managed to steal an hour or two of sleep each night...that is all!! SPOT THE #### BALL!
