Coot Arrested

WINNSBORO — South Carolina sophomore cornerback C.C. Whitlock was arrested by the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department over the weekend on a charge of trespassing after an incident at an area night club.
On May 23, Whitlock and four other men were arrested after police were called to Club 330 on Highway 321 in Blackstock near the Fairfield and Chester county lines.
According to the police report, Whitlock was asked by club security and the officers to leave several times but he refused. He was placed under arrest for trespassing. The report also noted that the 20-year-old Chester native had been drinking.
USC sports information director Steve Fink said coach Steve Spurrier was unaware of the incident and was on his way to the annual SEC coaches meeting in Destin, Fla.
There is no word on Whitlock’s current status with the team. Last week, the sophomore was reinstated to the roster after failing to qualify academically for the spring practice session. He sat out all of the spring drills.
The 5-10, 173-pound player arrived in Columbia in December 2007 after graduating early from high school. He came in as an offensive player but was shifted to the defensive secondary after the Wofford game.
Whitlock saw time in nine games and recorded one tackle and one pass break-up. He is expected to challenge for starting time after the departures of four secondary players from last year’s squad.

that fine usc education he's dedicated himself to is failing him. Correct me if memory fails, but doesn't he have like 3 kids, he's already had some legal issues, JUST got reinstated for a suspension for academic insufficiency, and now gets arrested/ticketed at a nightclub the week before the gamecocks start their "voluntary" summer workout programs.
Sounds like a future gamecock team captain to me.
