one of the stars of our team regarding our coach, a comment especially appreciated by those of us who can't stand listening to any more unconstructive bad-mouthing of the man, and then having the apparently overwhelming need to turn it into some self-serving comment about getting the ball more often. It demeans both CTB and JD to assume that there was some message like that. James is supporting his coach. Fact. Any theory on motive beyond that is pure speculation.

we want our recruits to hear about CTB (or any CU coach)... Much better than what they sometimes hear from some fans.
The coach is a huge factor in the decision for a lot of these kids. Having a key player like JD make that comment has to give other kids confidence about deciding to play for CTB at Clemson!

supportive, encouraging, motivating, etc. - some seem to mind that he wants to be given the ball because they think he's selfish or something. I think that's crazy. He's just confident of what he can do and wants the team to win. I think he's earned the right to say "give it to me and I'll get the job done" based on him performance so far in his career.
