Looks like I'll be attending Clemson University this fall

and I couldn't be more excited. I am transferring in after having completed a year at North Georgia College & State University. When I was younger I thought there was no way I would ever get in or even be able to pay for it if I did, but now I am in and my GI Bill is paying for it. I couldn't be too much happier than I am right now. Anyone have any advice on which teachers are good and which ones to avoid? I've only got 30 semester hours so far so any advice from recent grads would be appreciated.
Thanks, and GO TIGERS!!!

And no matter your major, try to take a class with Eddie Smith, he's a comm teacher that every student who goes to Clemson should have a chance to take.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. I am majoring in Global Politics but I am also heavily interested in Biology. I have taken English 1101 already but if I get the chance and he teaches the next available English I will try to get in his class.

Allen Swords, Lit and English, Joe Stewart and Matic for politics, take Woodard he is tough but good. Dr Waller for Finance, avoid Philip Flower in astronomy. History of rocknroll or country music is a super easy class take those if you can.

Glad to hear about your acceptance!
With regard to professors, there are so many courses offered that it will be tough to provide suggestions. If you can tell us which courses you will be taking (or consider taking) in the upcoming semester, we can advise as to which ones you should try to have.

I'm in biological sciences now and if you take any biosci courses, you should definitely try to get Denny Smith for intro bio (tough, but a heck of a teacher), and John Cummings for Anatomy and Physiology is pretty awesome too. And i second the Eddie Smith suggestion... his Comm 150 lecture class is essentially a stand up comedy routine and he's an awesome guy outside of class as well.

I second Denny Smith. One of the best professors I've ever had. He's an all around great person as well.

If you need history credits, Dr. Andrews and Dr. Anderson

are musts. Both do Southern history and both are great in and out of class. Plus, Dr. Andrews is a Marine Reserve, so he appreciates military connections. Congrats and enjoy Tigertown!

One of the proudest moment of my life was when I received that acceptance letter.
I don't think you mentioned your major. What is it?
Mine was engineering.
Good luck to you!
