with Vandy and Clemson thrown in to boot, not sure Miami beats any of the first 3 mentioned, but I'd sure like to have NCSU, which we already beat, Coastal, Duke, Wake, and Virginia, instead of them; we are not bitchin', we know what we face, we endeavor to improve and continue to strive, as opposed to sitting back and waiting for it to come to us because we think we are "entitled"; the SEC is "the road less traveled", in hopes that it will eventually "make all the difference", as the position for dominance in college football for the future is still wide open, with the past growing increasingly further behind - g&b

It's the road never traveled. When it's all said and done, Clemson will be right there with Bama, UF, etc as teams you can't beat. You would think you would have learned after so many years, but I guess you will have to wait until november AGAIN to realize that the Coots would be an average team even in the ACC. By the way - Duke beat NCSU much worse that your team did.

within 4 weeks of each other, but it will not happen in the ACC; if we lose to UGA, we get another shot at #4 in 2 weeks, same with Bama, then UF; whereas if we lost to say, Maryland, next week at Wake or a few weeks at Duke does not mean that much; "Charlie doesn't get much R&R, he lives in the bush, his idea of R&R is a bowl of rice and a little rat meat. Other than Alabama, Florida and maybe LSU, the $EC is riddled with a bunch of medicore teams. Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Vandy, Kentucky and South Carolina are no world beaters.

so Clemson can take their place and play that bunch of "no world beaters"; outside of Tennessee and USC, you haven't beaten any of the others in recent history, that being Kentucky, Auburn, UGA, Miss St.; Vandy is your only non-underdog game in the entire bunch, and it's no gimme - g&b

Even in the last decade, the SEC is only something like 45-36 against the ACC...a winning record...but not exactly dominant.

With the new payouts from the TV contract and the bowls, I don't think Arkansas is too much in a hurry to go anywhere. Everytime the subject of conference realignment is brought up on Rivals, the first change mentioned is Arky to the Big-12 and their fans' response is in one form or another "no way on God's green earth."
Vandy seems to have the same position, although they have a few posters who would like to see them in the ACC for competitive reasons. But as a charter member of the SEC, I doubt they will ever seriously consider leaving.

the records will be a bit skewed. It's just like $CU overall losing record against ACC opponents including Duke. Chances are, your record would be a little better if you got to play them annually.
Needless to say, based on the head to head record against $CU, it's fair to assume Clemson would have done, at least, as well in the SEC if not slightly better than $CU has partcularly consiodering Clemson's complete dominance over $CU would give Clemson one more conference win annually.
