While reading about Markish Jones and the uncertainty

surrounding his enrollment at Clemson, I got to thinking. Who was the last "big time" recruit who failed to qualify at South Carolina? We seem to be in this same dilemma with recruits every year and I don't hear the same from our foes in the midlands. It appears as though we recruit higher character athletes, so one would think that our recruits would, on average, be more likely to make the necessary grades. Thoughts?

She knows her ABCs and colors.
She can say her phone number and address.
She's basically potty trained.

Heck - she's qualified to go in the honor's college down there!!!!!!!!!

I seem to remember that he failed to qualify at SCar back in the early 90's...but looking at his page on Wikipedia I see that he did play there (at least his senior year).

Does anyone remember his story? I thought he played at a junior college in Mississippi(?) but there's no mention of that on Wikipedia.
