My boys are all Clemson fans, but one of them the other day said dad, " If I was to ever play college football and went somewhere other than Clemson... how would u feel?"
I looked right at him very calmly and said, "Son, I love you and want the best for you. You can go to any college you want. That is entirely your choice. However, it is awful cold sleeping in the garage."

I know how you fill, my oldest son while being recruited in 1998, asked me as we were standing on the cockerel 50 yard line in WB, Dad if I come here to play are you going to come watch me play, with out even a smile I said yes when you play Clemson, about 2 days later he said Dad I'm tired of football think I'm going to The Citadel, now he's a Army MH-47 CO/Pilot

exactly what I used against my oldest Grandson when he asked what I'd do if he went to USC. He quickly recanted...he believed I meant business...which I did! lol

Lol, my grandfather, father, mother, aunt and uncles all went to USuC and are big Carolina fans. When I announce I was choosing Clemson my dad said "I'm not surprised, but I support you 100%". My extended family dropped cow jokes for a while until 2 of my younger cousins were denied admission to Clemson and went to USuC, lol.

but my dad said he'd only pay for Clemson. Not sure how serious he was because I never really considered another school.
