a diversion from real life. It's not our life...it's our escape from life. We have kids. We don't get you know what as often. We work like dogs all week. We're tired all the time.
Do you get the picture? Clemson football and the Tigerboard are an escape. It sucks to lose but just relax and enjoy the football season.
Before you know it I'm going to have to watch one missed free throw after another.

hey, I don't get you know what often at all, and I am tired all the time too. Does that make me an honorary "old" man?

I agree 100% with what you said.....

as I graduated in 1977 - I used to live and die when I was in my 20s by how our football program did but now that I'm older I've got a lot more going on in my life to be completely absorbed by football like some people are. I hate it when we lose but I don't allow it to ruin my day/life - that doesn't mean I'm a fair-weather fan or anything - it just means that in the big-picture football's not life or death.
I also agree with your comment about free-throws - that's exactly what we can expect based on past historical performance.

Amazing how age begins to put things into perspective. I too used to live and die with CU football, but I'm usually over a loss by the time I get back to the parking lot. Some things in life are a heck of a lot more important. Not that I like to lose, but the sun comes up the next day.

It's a great diversion for me. I can scream all I want, but

by the time I get back to tailgating after the game with old friends, my thoughts drift back to family, business, etc. The Clemson Experience is so much more than football.
