Letter: Clemson fans make others feel at home

We are Florida State University fans who came to Clemson on a recent weekend for one of the FSU baseball games. We’ve been there several times before but always for football games, and we weren’t sure what to expect. We told our friends that we must be out of our minds to go to Clemson because the fans there hate FSU and our coach and would probably treat us badly. We really expected the worst.
We are writing to thank the fans of Clemson baseball for so kindly proving us wrong. From the moment we parked our car, people welcomed us, chatted with us about baseball and about our two universities, recommended places to eat and just generally made us feel at home. We had a wonderful time and hope to take from our experience at Clemson the resolve to treat the visiting teams' fans in Tallahassee as graciously as we were treated in Clemson. Now, if only we could persuade your baseball team to treat ours a little better!

most people that actually attend games are fans, it is the idiots that sit behind a keyboard in anonymity that give clemson a bad name. take you for instance. lol

Last night my sister told me about the article. I ran into a BC fan in DC last year after our FB game, and he said Clemson is the only road trip he and about 20 of his friends take because our fans are so nice and the venue is so great. There is something in those hills, but a coot can't see that far. Only as far as the next seasone which always will yield them a NC. HA!!!
