Anthony Waters came home

Nov 23, 2007, 9:02 AM

and gave out thanksgiving meals to 10 famlies that couldn't afford to celebrate the holiday here in Lake View, his town. I'm proud of him giving back to his people around this town. He has also bought his mom a new home. Dont know if anyone knew how hard it was on him growing up with his brother killing a man and serving time in prison. His other brother Henree he took to Clemson his last year there and took care of him there just to keep him out of trouble. I went to school with him and played football with him and we're really good friends. Thats where I stayed when I came to the Clemson games. He'd be at the hotel but let all of us stay at his apartment. But I just overwhelmed at how everything can change from being a kid living in a trailor on a dirt road to becoming a college grad and pro athlete and not following the trouble of his brothers ( which are doing well ) but its nice to see things like this happen.

Glad to see things are going well for him. Sounds like he's been through a lot in his young life.

Mr. Waters will always be one of my favorite players. He's a good leader both on and off the field.
