ten bucks, he did not say he wants anything in return. This seems like a good deal to me.

That's awesome! My Dad attended that game also,

and I was born about 9 months later. He had a white cowboy hat in his closet that he bought while he was there; always called it his "Sugar Bowl Hat". My Dad wasn't a big drinker, but I'm pretty sure alcohol was involved in the events that led up to the purchase of that hat. Though I never saw him wear it, he did have some pictures of him wearing it in New Orleans, and it looked like he was having a good time.

Probably 1959 Sugar Bowl against LSU. Listened to it on the radio.Billy Cannon may have been the difference along with a fumble that traveled 20-30 yards, as I remember.

He was on offensive lineman for the good Tigers. We still have a sugar bowl watch that they gave him around here somewhere. This is a really cool find.

My dad's first cousin (Harvey White) was the quarterback for Clemson in that game.

I can't imagine the warmness that you felt when you picked it up and thought about the memories you have of your dad.
